What is an OEM shoe?

Hi, Everyone! For those who are not familiar with OEM shoes, to put it simply, they are still fake. Some people would make it sound as if it is on the same level with the original but the reality is, they are still considered fake. To give you an idea, here are the different levels of fakes:

1. Those with the lowest quality are referred to as Class C (The Ugliest of all Fakes). Examples would be Mike (Nike), Adadis (Adidas), LILA (FILA), etc. See pictures below. Around PHP 200.00 ($ 1.00 = PHP 50.00, you do the math) is the usual pricing.

2. A level higher is Class B. They tried copying the original but they did not really put much effort into it. Usually around PHP 500.00.

3. Next would be Class A. Some pairs look OK but the quality is still bad. PHP 500.00 – 1,000.00.

4. Finally, there’s OEM. OEMs are better copies of the original ones. Often times, there are very minor differences from the original. There are OEM releases that are almost if not completely identical to the original when it comes to how they look but technically, there are materials/components that are not the same. Pricing ranges from PHP 1,500.00 – 4,000.00.

Before I forget, there’s this thing that some call UA(Unauthorized) Pair but don’t get fooled. Basically, they are very high-end OEMs. They would claim that the shoes were manufactured from the “actual/legit” factory so that they can charge a higher price.

There you go. I hope I was able to somehow shed some light to those who are confused or clueless. I will be posting reviews and insights on OEM releases as much as I can so stay tuned.
